Pisa, City on ErasmusOrganiser: ESN Pisa Date of Event: 07/06/2007 In order to adhere to the initiative promoted by the European Community and the MUR (Ministry of University and Research) to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Erasmus Programme, the University of Pisa, in cooperation with the Municipality and the Province of Pisa, has decided to stage an event titled “Pisa, città in Erasmus”. This event, which aims to promote international student mobility, is to take place at the Arsenali Medicei on June 7th, 2007. The event does not merely seek to celebrate the most important of the European student exchange programmes, but also aims to improve the teamwork between the territory and the foreign students present in Pisa. The young people who, thanks to the Erasmus Programme, choose to study – in ever increasing numbers – in our city have in fact shown a definite eagerness to integrate with the local culture and activities, actively participating in the initiatives promoted both by the University of Pisa and the territorial institutions. Schedule 9.30h Event opening: 10.00h The following guest will intervene and debate on the subject of student mobility:
13.00h Lunch break (*) 15.00h Intervention on the community policy on the subject of international student mobility; the director speaks - Virgilio Dastoli, Director of the Italian Representative of European Community 16.00h Intervention of the President of Erasmus Student Network Italia, about his experience as an Erasmus student 16.30h Interview of the owner of Pisa Football Team, Leonardo Covarelli and the most important sport champions of Pisa. 17.00h Break - Drawing of the air plane tickets 17.30h Meeting with a Ferrari Sports Managing Executive. Executive who will illustrate two world famous Italian products: Ferrari and Ducati. 18.30h Quiz time – Win a notebook AMD 19.00h Closing of the event.
In order to further enrich the event, the setting up of stands of the territorial institutions is also planned, along with the setting up of stands presenting samples of local food and wine, and stands directly under the control of Erasmus students of: Spain, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Hungary, Portugal and Austria. (*) During lunch break, the following activities will be organised: - Visits of all monuments of Miracle’s Square at reduced prices;
